Call for abstracts for GRC funded lecture series

Dear advanced PhD students, dear Post-docs of the University of Zurich,

We are a recently formed interdisciplinary group of postdoctoral fellows at the University of Zurich. We have just been awarded funding by the Graduate Campus-University of Zurich for the realization of a lecture series (Ringvorlesung) entitled „Knowledge, Communication and Cooperation: Crossing Disciplinary Barriers” scheduled for the Spring semester of 2013 at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.

During this lecture series we aim to explore modalities of knowledge acquisition and its dissemination, spanning all academic areas at the University of Zurich. Furthermore, we want to investigate the feasibility of inter-disciplinary research by bringing together postdoctoral fellows and advanced PhD students from every discipline taught at our university.

The success of our initiative heavily relies on the quality of selected oral presentations by postdoctoral fellows or advanced PhD students, that will alternate with 4 invited keynote speakers.

For this reason, we are looking for postdoctoral fellows or advanced PhD students that would like to deliver a 30-45 minute lecture on their individual view of knowledge, communication and cooperation in their own field of expertise. The aim of the lectures is to have a highly interactive presentation discussing the different views on this subject.

Please find more information on our initiative in the attached Call for Proposals and on our website .

Also, please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have!

We are looking forward to highly interesting proposals from across all the scientific disciplines at the University!
